The word “Picnic” fills everyone with great enthusiasm and joy. Students are free from doing studies and completing assignments and can take a break from classroom studies to engage in life wide learning. Such was the case when our students took part in the LCU annual school picnic on 28.11.2022.
|P.4 – P.6 Po Leung Kuk Tai Tong Holiday Camp
Our P.4 to P6 pupils went to Po Leung Kuk Tai Tong Holiday Camp. It is a well facilitated camp site with football field, basketball court, play area, sport climbing wall, badminton court and rope course. The school prepared a ready-to-go bag for pupils with various balls and ropes. Interaction among pupils during the recreational activities let us bond, plan, connect and learn from one another.
|P.1 Kadoorie Farm and Botantic Garden
Our P.1 parents had a great bonding experience with their kids in Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden. We arrived in the Plaza and took the downhill walking route. On the way, pupils saw the wildlife sanctuary, the native mammal display, the reptile house and the insect house. Everybody had a great time.
|P.2 – P.3 Po Leung Kuk Pak Tam Chung Holiday Camp
Our P.2 and P.3 pupils went the Po Leung Kuk Pak Tam Chung Holiday Camp in Sai Kung. Pupils were delighted to play on the air castle, and play both badminton and table tennis. They also found out how a spider captured a live bee on a web; it seems they had a GS lesson in nature! How wonderful was this experience.
|Activities at School
LCU would never let the students who chose to stay at school down. We prepared two visual art activities, namely Zentangle drawing and clay making. Pupils found it very relaxing and appreciated this mindful activity a lot. After that, the pupils stayed in the hall to appreciate a movie called Wonder. The message ‘to be kind to all those around us’ was passed to the audience.
